3/25 HCC Annual Burnham's Ferry Exploratory Trip on the Colorado River
13 mile day-trip with primitive car camping at the private property take out.
Meet at Ellinger, TX at 9 a.m. sharp for shuttle to the put-in on private property.

On March 19, 1836, the Texas Army crossed the Colorado River at Burnham's Ferry on their way ultimately to San Jacinto.

For the last several years the quest has been to find exactly where the ferry was located.
We've been several times and found what looked like good crossing areas with no
assurance that we had located the exact crossing. This year, plans are to invite
a local historian and archeologist along to pinpoint the exact ferry and crossing.

Beginner 3: Confidently execute basic strokes plus ability to manage high wind and high waves typically experienced on Lake Charlotte or Sheldon reservoir.
