Meeting Announcement!
The HCC meeting on March 8 will feature Jerry Hopkins, Region 4 Director of TP&W. Region 4 includes 12 locations, among them Village Creek, Sheldon Lake and Lake Texana. Mr. Hopkins has worked in the TP&W system for 23 years. He will discuss the failure of appropriations to match rising expenses. He will share how the shortfall has been handled over the past 5 years, what is being done to mitigate the shortfall, and the importance of state parks to local economies.
The meeting begins at 7 PM at Bayland Park, 6400 Bissonnet, in the community building. The park is located just west of Hillcroft on Bissonnet.
