General Meeting Minutes
July 9, 2003

Commodore John Ohrt presided.
John announced that Patti Carothers donated 3 videos from Trailside TV show which HCC will sell for $5.00 per video.
John introduced the officers and asked visitors to introduce themselves and tell a bit about their paddling.
The minutes from the June meeting were read and accepted.
The purser was not present.
Fraser Baker, fleet captain asked for members to tell about their past trips. He also announced upcoming trips.
The newsletter is online.
In September Donna Grimes will do a short presentation on river signals.
John asked that members wear their favorite summer hat to the August meeting and give a short reason why this is their favorite.
John announced that NOC will give a 10% discount to HCC members.
Texas Parks & Wildlife will hold their annual Wildlife Expo on October 4-5.
The program was videos about basic canoeing and kayaking techniques.
The meeting was adjourned.
