Club Affiliations
The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a nationwide, not for profit organization that is in service to the broader paddling public by providing education on matters related to paddling, supporting stewardship of the paddling environment, and enabling programs and events to support paddlesport recreation.
American Whitewater restores rivers dewatered by hydropower dams, eliminates water degradation, improves public land management and protects public access to rivers for responsible recreational use. AW's River Stewardship team represents paddlers' interests to restore rivers, eliminate water degradation, improve public land management and protect public access for responsible recreational use.
The mission of the CEC is to foster dialogue, education, and collaboration on environmental issues in the Houston / Gulf Coast region.
The Bayou Preservation Association is a citizens' group whose mission is to "protect and restore the richness and diversity of our waterways". BPA facilitates collaborative projects and public awareness about the region's streams and bayous in order to foster watershed management, conservation, and recreation along Houston's defining natural resource.
The Galveston Bay Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve, protect and enhance the natural resources of the Galveston Bay estuarine system, and its tributaries, for present users and for posterity.
